The Great Barrow Challenge | Medal
The Great Barrow Challenge | Medal
The Great Barrow Challenge medal was designed by its founder Glen Moulds and is a medal to be truly proud of. The shape of the medal reflects that of the Victoria Cross with the English Rose as its crest and the sword depicted on the medal is the Roman sword found in the grounds of the 1000 year old Barrow Church. The Church is situated next to the daily ‘start’ and ‘finish’ point of the challenge at The Academy Health & Fitness Centre. The Latin word ‘Virtus’ (meaning courage) is written along the handle of the sword and the date pin at the top of the medal changes each year. The ribbon bears the colours of the Great Barrow Challenge.
We have listed below a ROLL of HONOUR which shows ALL of the people who have completed the full four day challenge over the years and been awarded the prestigious medal. This is for people who have completed the challenge to show friends and family and to prevent false claims. If YOU have done it, be proud to show your name below!
